Furness Cancer Support Group meet every Wednesday from 2pm till 4pm at St Mary's Social Care Centre, Harlington Street, Barrow. For more information call 430111

Furness Prostrate Cancer Support Group is up and running and meeting every second Monday of the month at the Lesser Kings Hall, Hartington Street, Barrow. The meetings are an informal chance for sufferers and their wives or partners to discuss all aspects of the illness with others who understand.

Epilepsy Actoin South Cumbria provides practical support, advice and information to both the public and health professionals on any aspect of epilepsy. if you would like information about joining the branch or simply would like to know about the group contact Carl on Barrow 430 988.

Marsh Hornets mini rugby league are now holding outdoor training sessions on Thursday at Furness rugby Strawberry Fields. All under 8's are asked to report at 4.30 and the over 8's are asked to turn up at 5pm. All new players are welcome so come along on Thursday evenings at 4.30 to the Strawberry Fields at Furness rugby union club.

Diamond Divas marching/dance troup meet every wednesday at St Lukes Hall on Salthouse Road between 6pm and 8pm. she goto karate and self defence club are holding sessions at Hartington street church in barrow.the classes are for children only and start at 6.30 pm till 7.30. so come along kids and learn karate with lee smith on tuesday evenings at hartington street church starting 6.30pm.

Line dancing takes place every monday evening at stainton recreation hall and every tuesday at Aldingham Parish hall in scales.Both dates run from 7.30 till 9.30pm and for more information on this you need to contact Miss Simmonds on Ulverston 586555.

Barrow Ju-jitsu Club are the only Ju-jitsu Club in Furness and they hold junior classes on monday through to wednesdays from 6:15pm at £3 per lesson.And senior classes at £4 per lesson from 7.30pm.There's no sighn up fee for begginers ,It all takes place at the Old Methodist Church Hall on risdale road in Barrow.
